Join us this summer for four distinct celebrations:
Trinity Sunday: "One God or Three?"
Trinity Sunday, the first Sunday after Pentecost, honors with joy the three distinct expressions of God - Creator, Christ, and Holy Spirit - each of which offers a unique way of understanding how the Divine is moving in our lives. Together in worship we will explore the concept of the Trinity and listen for the expression of God who is speaking in our lives right now.
Juneteenth: "The Sound of Freedom" with Guest Preacher - Rev. Dr. Irie Session. On June 19, 1865 soldiers arrived in Texas to deliver the news that President Lincoln has issued the emancipation proclamation freeing African-American slaves, becoming the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of African-American slavery throughout the confederate south. In honor of this holiday, we will be celebrating Juneteenth in worship.
Pride: CoH celebrates LGBT Pride Month by asking the question, “Who is my Neighbor”.
Independence Day: While the USA celebrates Independence Day this weekend, CoH will be thinking about how we might become more interdependent as siblings made in the image of God.
