Hope in Grief
Hope in Grief: A Place for Healing and Community
Grief has a way of changing the landscape of our lives. Whether the loss is recent or years behind us, grief can surface in unexpected ways. In those moments, it can help to know that we are not alone.
At Cathedral of Hope, we believe that healing often begins in community. Hope in Grief is a weekly support group created to offer a safe, compassionate space where people can share their experiences of loss and find encouragement along the way.
Hope in Grief meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the Interfaith Peace Chapel on the Cathedral of Hope campus and is open to anyone who is grieving, regardless of faith background, identity, or connection to the church.
Whether you are mourning the loss of a loved one, navigating a significant life transition, or carrying grief that has been difficult to name, you are welcome.
The group is facilitated by trained psychologists and spiritual leaders who bring both professional experience and deep compassion to the work of supporting others in grief. Each gathering includes guided conversations and gentle practices designed to help participants reflect, share, and explore ways of moving forward while honoring their loss.
Grief does not follow a timetable, and there is no “right way” to walk through it. What many people discover, however, is that healing becomes more possible when we are surrounded by others who understand the weight of loss and the courage it takes to keep going. Hope in Grief offers that kind of community—one grounded in empathy, honesty, and the quiet possibility of hope.
If you or someone you love is grieving, we invite you to join us. You do not have to carry grief alone. At Cathedral of Hope, there is space for your story, your questions, and your healing.
