  • Y’ALL READY TO BOOT SCOOT & BOOZE? | 08-06-26

    Thursday, August 6, 2026 | Cedar Springs Gayborhood | 6pm -9pm

Saddle up, sugar… the August Cedar Springs Wine Walk is goin’ COUNTRY!

On Thursday, August 6th, throw on your sequins & rhinestones as the Gayborhood goes full Texas. Think Dolly. Think cowboy hats. Think fringe. Think boots. Think drinkin’ from “9 to Wine.”

We’re serving up wine, country vibes, and enough Southern hospitality to make Dolly herself proud. Wander through 30+ participating businesses, sip your way through the LARGEST wine walk in Texas, and finish the evening at our raffle at Round-Up Saloon.

Because let’s be honest… everything is BIGGER in Texas.

    The hats.

    The hair.

    The personalities.

    And yes…the Wine Walk!

So dust off those boots, grab your favorite cowboys, cowgirls, and country queens, and come help us prove that Oak Lawn can out-country just about anybody… with significantly better outfits.

Don’t wait too long. Our Wine Walks have been selling out faster than Dolly can change wigs.

    Saturday, September 5, 2026 | Cathedral of Hope | 1pm - 6pm

As part of this year's REVIVE: Faith, Freedom, and Fierce Love festival, Cathedral of Hope is teaming up with Oak Lawn United Methodist Church for the Revive Queer Closet, a free clothing swap where people can find clothing, shoes, and accessories that help them express their authentic selves in a safe and affirming space.

You can help make that possible. Please consider donating clean, gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. Every donation becomes an opportunity for someone else to feel seen, affirmed, and celebrated.

Blessing Bags

Next assembly date/time to be announced

Have you ever driven past a person in need and wondered what you could do to help? A blessing bag is a small assortment of basic toiletries and snacks in a sealable plastic bag. Keep one or two in your car to have on hand!

Several times a year, we gather to create blessing bags for our neighbors in need. We’ll provide the items. You provide the people power. All ages welcome! You can pick up Blessing Bags to distributed on designated Blessing Bag Sundays or by calling the church office.
