All Saints Sunday | 11-02-25 | All Services

Sunday, November 2, 2025
The end of October and early November is a time when many cultures and traditions remember and honor the dead. All Hallows’ Eve, Dia de los Muertos, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day provide opportunities for us to both grieve and celebrate the lives of those we have lost. While the Christian tradition dates back to the earliest days of the church, we have found new ways of paying respect to the saints who have come before us in faith.
Would you like to recognize a particular saint or someone who has passed on from your own circle of family and friends?
During our 8:30 and 10am service on All Saints’ Sunday, we will be sharing the names of those who have passed over the last two years. If you would like to submit a name to be shown on screen during worship, please use this form.
You may also honor and recognize a saint, living or dead, by adding their name to the dedication on The Field of Light, our newly commissioned anthem by composer Z. Randall Stroop. Your dedication, with a minimum donation of $50, is not only a lovely way to honor someone you love and admire, but also helps us to cover the cost of the new music. To make a dedication, please use this form.
Honor a loved one by purchasing a personalized Memorial bricks to be incorporated into the Gwen Taylor Peace Plaza at Cathedral of Hope. The bricks are 4″x 8” and can have up to three lines of text (20 characters per line). All bricks will be within about 100 feet of the church building, and cost $160. To learn more about purchasing a memorial brick, please click here.
Discover the Labyrinth: An Ancient Pathway of Prayer | All Saints Sunday | 11-02-25

All Saints Sunday | November 2, 2025 | 8:30am – 3pm | Interfaith Peace Chapel
Are you looking for new ways to deepen your spiritual practice? The labyrinth is one of the oldest contemplative tools in the Christian tradition and beyond. Unlike a maze, it is not meant to trick or frustrate you. With one way in and one way out, the labyrinth invites you to release distractions about “where to go next” and instead focus on being present with God.
Walking the labyrinth is a moving meditation. It can be walked alone or with others, at a pace that suits you. Most people complete the journey in twenty minutes to an hour. Each step can become a prayer, opening space for reflection, healing, and awareness of God’s presence.
Benefits of walking the labyrinth include:
- Quieting the mind
- Opening the heart
- Integrating body, mind, and spirit
- Awakening creativity
- Cultivating self-awareness
- Nurturing spiritual growth
Come and experience this sacred pathway. As you walk, you may find yourself drawn closer to God and to the mystery of the Spirit moving within and around you.
bigBANG! 2025 Hope in Action: Igniting Change, Empowering Communities | 11-06-25

Thursday, November 6, 2025 - Friday November 7, 2025 | 5pm CST
Hope is more than wishful thinking—it’s a force for transformation. When we act on hope, we drive economic growth, advance justice, and strengthen communities.
Throughout history, hope has been both compass and catalyst, reflecting the world we live in while inspiring us to build the world we need. Hope doesn’t just help us endure uncertainty—it compels us to act against it.
As philanthropists, civic leaders, and corporate changemakers, we have a unique opportunity. When we align our resources and vision, hope becomes collective action. This conference explores how we transform shared aspirations into measurable impact.
The question is not whether hope matters, but how we put it to work.

Have you ever driven past a person in need and wondered what you could do to help? A blessing bag is a small assortment of basic toiletries and snacks in a sealable plastic bag. Keep one or two in your car to have on hand!
Several times a year, we gather to create blessing bags for our neighbors in need. We’ll provide the items. You provide the people power. All ages welcome! You can pick up Blessing Bags to distributed on designated Blessing Bag Sundays or by calling the church office.
