  • Sexuality, the Bible, and Modern Christianity | 06-04-26 to 07-23-26

    Thursdays, June 4 - July 23, 2026 | 7pm - 8:30pm | Fellowship Hall

Are you frustrated with how some people use the bible as a tool against LGBTQIA+ and sexuality in general? What does the bible really say about sexuality in general and specifically about same-sex relationships? How does a book written thousands of years in the past within a different societal and religious context apply to us today?

This introductory foundational offering is for all who seek to reconcile modern sexuality with the text found in the bible. We will investigate the overall thematic structure of the bible, its biases, its historical context, its societal context, and specifically examine scripture that has been used to condemn issues of sexuality and especially LGBTQIA+ issues.

Several times a year, we gather to create blessing bags for our neighbors in need. We’ll provide the items. You provide the people power. All ages welcome! You can pick up Blessing Bags to distributed on designated Blessing Bag Sundays or by calling the church office.
