Every chapter of Cathedral of Hope’s story began because a few committed people believed and invested in dreams full of revolutionary imagination. In 1990’s, every bank in America thought it was beyond imaginable for a group of queer Dallasites to build a church and rejected our applications for building loans.
Our predecessors sold possessions from jewelry to stock and funded a church anyway. In the 1980s and 90s, when others recoiled from those dying from AIDS complications, our congregation imagined what genuine care could look like and dedicated ourselves to the work. In the COVID pandemic, our revolutionary imagination led us to feed tens of thousands, many of whom came from churches that questioned our sacred worth because Jesus says, “feed my sheep.” Jesus is full of revolutionary imagination, and so is our congregation.
Right now, many worry that our basic rights—so recently established—might be taken away; it is easy to lose our revolutionary imagination over fear of preservation. In 2026, imagination becomes revolutionary. Revolutionary Imagination is exactly what God most needs from our church.

Join in for a night of great food provided by local Dallas institution Norma’s Café, live music and dancing to 80s and 90s music by Big City Outlaws, exciting raffle prizes, and some amazing silent auction items you won't want to miss.
Plus, we'll have a wine pull and a new event called The Golden Ticket, where every purchase wins a prize.
Every ticket purchased helps support the ongoing mission and ministries of Cathedral of Hope while securing your place at one of the most exciting events of our anniversary season.
