Easter Generosity
Lighting Project Update

Easter is the sacred celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus and the moment when new light and living hope break into the world once again.
This year, that light will shine in a beautiful and tangible way as we unveil new sanctuary lighting on Easter Sunday, enhancing and renewing our shared worship experience.
The Lighting Project is one of the most significant capital improvements in the Cathedral’s history. It modernizes and elevates our sacred space while thoughtfully highlighting the enhancements completed during Project FaithLift just a few years ago.
The impact will be both immediate and meaningful:
- Our choir and orchestra will be able to clearly see their music.
- The Esperanza side of the sanctuary will be fully opened and integrated into worship.
- The chancel will be enriched with new stage and broadcast lighting.
- Our online worship community will experience greater brightness and clarity.
- The Cross will shine with renewed brilliance.
- The sanctuary will offer greater flexibility for diverse worship services and community events.
This project is more than a technical upgrade; it is an investment in the future of our Cathedral and in the ministry we share together. We are deeply grateful for the generous seed funding from the Jim Hurt Estate, which made it possible to begin this important work.
As we celebrate the Light of Christ this Easter, we invite you to make a special Easter offering to help us complete and fund this transformational project. Your generosity will help ensure that our sanctuary reflects the beauty, excellence, and hope we proclaim. When you consider your donation, here is a thought. There are 191 new lights in the project. A generous gift of $191 or any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Gifts may be made online through Realm or by check, with “Easter Lighting” noted in the memo.
We look forward to welcoming you this Easter, and to sharing together in the radiant light that fills our sanctuary and our hearts.
