Special Congregational Meeting on proposed Bylaw amendments and Vote for Active Members


In accordance with the Cathedral of Hope Bylaws, Section XI ADOPTION AND AMENDMENTS, this communication serves as publication of the Board of Stewards (“Board”) approved proposed bylaw amendments. The proposed amendments are subject to a vote by active members. Pursuant to Bylaws, Section V CONGREGATION, subsection C and G, the Board is calling a Special Congregational Meeting and has adopted procedures to conduct the vote by absentee ballot.


A Special Congregational Zoom meeting to discuss the proposed bylaws revisions will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 10:30am. The Board's proposed bylaw amendments are the only agenda item.

Active members are invited to participate in the Special Congregational Meeting to further understand and ask questions about the Board's proposed bylaws revisions. The preliminary agenda (Bylaws section V.D and E) is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Opening Prayer
  3. Presentation of the Board’s proposed Bylaw amendments 
  4. Questions from Active members
  5. Recess
  6. Reconvene on Sunday January 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM for meeting adjournment only
  7. Adjournment


Voting will take place by absentee ballot only.


Ballots will be available beginning Sunday, December 21:

  • On the church website, or
  • In person at the church


Voting instructions (anonymous ballot process):

  1. Mark your ballot YES or NO for the proposed bylaws revisions.
  2. Place the completed ballot in an envelope.
  3. On the outside of the envelope, print your name and sign to verify eligibility.
  • The ballot itself remains anonymous.
  • Only anonymous ballots will be accepted.


Returning your ballot:

  • Ballots may be returned in person by placing them in the designated ballot box at the church, or
  • Mailed to the church: 5910 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas, TX 75235


Important reminders:

  • Only active members may vote.
  • One ballot per member.
  • All ballots must be received by 3:00pm on Sunday, January 18.
